Store Locations

Where is the Newtown store?
Our Newtown stores has moved just round the corner and is located at 325 King Street.

Where is the Sydney CBD store?
Our CBD store has moved downstairs in The Galeries, it’s most easily accessed from the Pitt Street entrance.

Where is the Rosebery store?
It is a part of the Cannery and located on the corner of Dunning Avenue and Hayes Road.

Where is the Moore Park store?
It is located in the Entertainment Quarter on Bent Street.

Where is the Chadstone store?
It is located on the lower ground floor adjacent to Cotton On.

Where is the St Kilda store?
It is located at 2 Acland Street alongside The Prince Hotel.

Where is the Melbourne CBD store?
It is located just three doors down Driver Lane which runs off Little Bourke Street, next to Acne Studios & COS.


Parking

Where can I park when picking up my cake?

Moore Park – The Entertainment Quarter carpark is located just a stones throw from our store and has 2 hours free parking.

Sydney CBD – There is very limited parking in the city, the closest spots are located on Pitt Street.

Rosebery – There is a small car park for The Cannery located just off Dunning Avenue. There is also plenty of street parking on surrounding roads.

Newtown – King Street parking is limited but there is plenty of surrounding streets with parking available.

Chadstone - Car Parks A and B are the closest to our store

St Kilda - Street parking is available opposite the store on Acland St or in the Prince Hotel Carpark located just around the corner on Jackson St

Driver Lane - Limited street parking can be found on Little Bourke Street, closest carpark is located at the Strand 323 Lonsdale St


Delivery

Made with love and handcrafted with care, our iconic Strawberry Watermelon cake takes a team of 12 people up to six hours a day to perfect the world’s most Instagrammed cake.

From hand cut fruit to hand placed garnishing of rose petals and pistachios, the level of mastery and care applied by our experienced pastry chefs extends across the entire Black Star Pastry range.

When it came to selecting our delivery partners across Sydney and Melbourne, we searched for the teams who would care for our cakes as much as we do, ensuring it arrives to your door the same way it leaves ours – absolutely perfect.

We entrust the responsibility to Go People, an innovative Australian start-up revolutionising delivery services for over 10,000 businesses like ours. Experts in delivering specialty products that require delicate handling, Go People's team are trained to treat products like ours with the utmost care, ensuring that each slice arrives at its destination in perfect condition - just as you'd expect.


Do you offer delivery?
Delivery is available from 11am to 4pm, Monday to Sunday. For Strawberry Watermelon Cake, orders must be placed by 12pm for next day delivery. All other cake orders must be placed with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

Where do we deliver?
We deliver within 30km of our kitchen in St Kilda and Rosebery.

When will my cake be delivered?
Our delivery window is 11am – 4pm however, we cannot guarantee a specific time within this delivery window. You will receive a text message from our delivery partner when they are on their way.

What if no one is home?
When confirming your order, you are agreeing that our delivery partner has authority to leave, and that you are responsible for the delivery once they have left it according to your delivery details. Please ensure all details are entered correctly when confirming your order.

My Cake arrived Damaged
In the event of a cake arriving in a damaged state please call us on 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944. Alternatively contact us at [email protected]

Can I place an order for today?
Yes, subject to availability. Just give our customer care team a call on 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944

Why won’t my order process online?
Apart from Strawberry Watermelon Cake, online orders can only be made 48 hours in advance, otherwise please call 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944 to place an order. Check our store opening times to make sure the store is open on the date you require the pickup.

I need to change my order.
We require a minimum of 48hrs notice for cake adjustments. For all order adjustments you must call our customer service team on 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944

I need to cancel my order.
We require a minimum of 48hrs notice for cancellations. To cancel your order please call our customer care team on 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944. You can find our cancellations terms & conditions here.

I didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail.
Please call our customer care team on 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944 so we can organize your confirmation to be resent.


Collections

Do I need anything to pick up my cake?
You will need a copy of your order confirmation to pick up your cake.

Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes, you will need to provide them with a copy of your order confirmation for them to be able to collect your cake.

I’m running late to pick up my cake.
There's no need to phone us if you're running late, but please let us know if, for any reason, you are unable to collect your order before the stores scheduled closing time. Please check our store opening times.

I got to the store and it’s closed.
Please give our customer care team a call on 02 9557 8656 or 03 9989 0944 and they will try to organize your pickup with the store.

Do I need to refrigerate my cake?
Our cakes are recommended to be kept refrigerated when possible. They will keep out of refrigeration for up to 1.5hours.

Can I customize my cake?
We currently do not offer customized cakes.
